Eastside Ventures incubates and develops promising social innovations that have the potential to change the market

We are particularly interested in creating social businesses that address a gap or market failure in intermediary services and where there is a strong link with our mission.

Partner-up - a marketplace for collaboration

This initiative, launched in 2011, aims to facilitate better partnerships and collaboration in civil society. Partner-up offers a matching service and affordable advice for mergers and strategic partnerships. This social business is fully owned by Eastside, and supported by Prime TimersBates Wells & Braithwate, Eversheds, 3SC, and Social Enteprise UK

3SC - a bidding vehicle for public services

3SC is a consortium of charities, social enterprises and charities that have come together to bid for and deliver public services. It is the fastest growing social enterprise in the UK and has enabled over 5000 people to get back into work. Eastside led the development with partners and is a Board member.

Spark - a new model of investment for social enterprise

Eastside designed and project managed this investment competition for social enterprises tackling homelessness. A unique feature of the Spark model was to bring together a mix of funding (government grants and social loans) with support from the private sector.
